Role Overview

The Risk Lead will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework for Foodics. This role ensures that the company's risk exposures are effectively mitigated and managed within the accepted risk appetite, with continuous monitoring in place. The Risk Lead will apply industry best practices and suitable measurements to comply with regulations and shareholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the company's risk management strategy in collaboration with other functions.
• Establish and develop the Risk Management framework, policies, risk appetite, and associated limits.
• Create risk management procedures to support operational and financial objectives.
• Design and implement risk management methodologies, tools, and techniques across all company activities, covering operational, credit, financial, reputational, and cyber security risks.
• Conduct risk assessments and analysis across functions and for new products.
• Perform risk assessments for strategic projects, policies, procedures, agreements, and system implementations.
• Establish continuous risk management monitoring, including the development of early warning and key risk indicators.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register for internal and external risks.
• Set up mechanisms for reporting and analyzing operational risk incidents and associated losses, including remedial actions.
• Develop periodic risk management awareness programs and foster a strong risk management culture.
• Ensure the implementation of appropriate risk transfer techniques, including insurance, aligned with the company's strategy.
• Liaise with functional heads to establish, maintain, and improve risk management capabilities.
• Implement risk reporting aligned with local and international regulatory requirements and for board oversight.
• Enhance and implement business continuity plans, supporting functions in understanding risk impacts and managing risks effectively in coordination with technology and cyber security.
• Stay updated on developments in risk management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
• Manage assigned ad hoc assignments for regulatory bodies, committees, and senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management, preferably within the financial industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, control, and analysis principles.
• Familiarity with SAMA compliance standards and regulations.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and G-Suite.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a positive mindset.
