About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Sales Engineer I EXA Ceramics to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on providing solution selling to prospective clients, executing strategic deals, modeling financial business cases, and aligning customer requirements with proposed solutions. The objective is to achieve the plan and targets of the Project Sales department while adhering to company policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in large contracting companies, designers, architects, contractors, consultants, and specifiers to secure product approvals.
  • Promote and sell the company’s product portfolio, cooperating with the sales manager to establish annual sales goals, including product volume, value, and selling price through strategic planning and financial forecasting.
  • Develop and manage a project list covering all market sectors within the assigned territory, engaging with owners, consultants, main contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with management to create and refine lists of existing and potential customers, identifying those with the potential to exceed budget requirements.
  • Provide solutions to clients' technical queries and ensure satisfactory resolution of customer complaints.

Reporting, Documentation, and Coordination

  • Maintain accurate customer records and submit comprehensive sales reports.
  • Provide monthly project reports detailing project status and other activities affecting the business.
  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and performance, updating information on the CRM system and C4C weekly.
  • Manage the preparation of technical prequalification submittals.
  • Liaise with the store, logistics, and finance departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and smooth operational flow.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to handle internal invoicing and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contributing improvements, new ideas, and insights.

Professional Accountabilities

  • Delivery: Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to schedules, utilizing resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time. Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any related problems that arise and escalate complex operational issues as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality requirements, developing effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products or related activities.
  • Process Improvement: Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, actively seeking automation opportunities.
  • Compliance: Comply with all relevant company policies, procedures, and work instructions, including those pertaining to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management.
  • Continuous Development: Maintain updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job and develop a clear career path.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time position are required to have 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant sales engineering role, demonstrating a proven track record in solution selling and client relationship management.
