About the Sales Engineer - Lighting Role

********** is seeking Saudi graduates for an internship position as a Sales Engineer – Lighting & Lighting Control Systems in Riyadh, as part of the Tamheer Program. This role is designed for individuals with an engineering background looking to build a career in technical sales and solution selling within the lighting and smart systems industry. The position offers a blend of technical understanding and commercial experience, involving customer interaction, project support, and sales development activities.

Role Overview and Development

The intern will gain practical experience with lighting products, lighting control systems, and project-based sales. This role supports the business in cultivating relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, and end-users. The program provides structured training and hands-on exposure to the lighting and smart solutions sector, aiming to develop both technical and commercial skill sets for a potential career pathway into full-time Sales Engineer roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification and development of sales opportunities in lighting and lighting control projects.
  • Assist in understanding customer requirements and proposing appropriate technical lighting solutions.
  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and technical discussions with project stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of quotations, proposals, and sales documentation.
  • Follow up on leads and ongoing opportunities under supervision.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Support internal coordination with engineering and operations teams.
  • Learn and apply technical knowledge of lighting products and control systems.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Contribute to sales targets and pipeline development.

Eligibility Requirements for Tamheer Program

  • Must be a Saudi national.
  • Must be eligible for the Tamheer program.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Not currently registered with GOSI.
  • Not previously enrolled in the Tamheer program.
  • Age not exceeding 30 years.
  • Unemployed for at least 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong interest in technical sales, lighting systems, or smart building solutions.
  • Basic understanding of lighting products, electrical systems, or automation is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into commercial solutions.
  • Interest in working with consultants, contractors, and project-based environments.
  • Eagerness to learn sales processes, negotiation, and business development.
  • Preference for candidates based in Riyadh.
