About the Role
eMagine Solutions is exclusively retained to recruit a Sales Executive (Modern Trade) for a Tier 1 FMCG business in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for a professional with 2-5 years of experience who will be instrumental in expanding Modern Trade (MT) coverage and driving sales growth across key retail accounts and reseller partners.
Role Context and Objectives
The Sales Executive will focus on enhancing distribution, visibility, and shelf share within hypermarkets, supermarkets, and chain retail environments. This position requires a hands-on field sales professional capable of managing relationships with both direct retail customers and indirect reseller channels. The primary objective is to execute sales strategies effectively, ensuring customer growth and strong market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the sales process and achieve sales, volume, and revenue growth targets.
- Drive new customer activation and expand coverage within the Modern Trade channel.
- Cultivate and grow relationships with retail accounts, distributors, and resellers to maximize market reach and execution.
- Implement trade promotions, offers, and in-store activations in alignment with Trade Marketing guidelines.
- Ensure product availability, compliance with planograms, merchandising standards, and on-shelf availability (OSA).
- Maintain and increase shelf share, visibility, and display execution across assigned accounts and reseller-served stores.
- Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to support smooth deliveries and service levels.
- Manage collections, including cash and cheques, in accordance with company policy.
- Track and control net trade expenses (NTE), damages, and returns to remain within budget.
- Produce timely weekly and monthly sales reports, updates, and activity trackers.
- Represent the company in-store, handling customer service, issue resolution, and relationship management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an administrative or business-related field.
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in Modern Trade sales, retail sales, or merchandising, with a preference for FMCG sector experience.
- Experience working with resellers, distributors, or indirect sales channels is a significant advantage.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A solid problem-solving mindset coupled with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing deadlines and fast-moving priorities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and reporting tools.
- Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors is considered a plus.
