About the Scaffolding Section Head Role

BEC Arabia is seeking an experienced Scaffolding Section Head to oversee and manage all scaffolding operations. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires a candidate with over 10 years of relevant experience to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant planning, erection, inspection, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding systems across multiple construction projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all scaffolding activities for assigned projects.
  • Supervise scaffolding supervisors, inspectors, and site teams to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
  • Review and approve scaffolding designs, load assessments, and associated technical documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, client specifications, and all applicable safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Construction, Engineering, Planning, and HSE departments to support project execution.
  • Monitor scaffold erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling processes.
  • Manage scaffolding resources, including materials, manpower planning, and equipment utilization.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with approved standards.
  • Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and resource forecasting.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement in all scaffolding operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in scaffolding operations within construction, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale projects.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of scaffolding systems, temporary works, and industry safety standards.
  • Proven experience with various scaffolding systems including Tube & Clamp, Ringlock, Cuplock, Modular, Suspended, and Mobile scaffolding.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional scaffolding certifications such as CISRS, OSHA, or equivalent are considered an advantage. Candidates with experience working for major construction contractors, on industrial projects, infrastructure developments, or with leading scaffolding/formwork companies like Doka, PERI, or Acrow are highly encouraged to apply.
