About the Role

Mace is seeking a Senior Cost Consultant, a Saudi National, to join their team in the Riyadh Region. This full-time position involves combining construction expertise with consultancy services to unlock potential in projects and redefine ambitious goals. Key Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, procurement strategy development, and contract selection, including the preparation of detailed procurement reports.
• Apply value management techniques at project inception to optimize cost, scope, and overall project value.
• Manage estimating and cost planning activities, taking ownership and presenting comprehensive final cost plans.
• Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, from prequalification and tendering to bid analysis, contractor selection, and contract preparation.
• Supervise the preparation and execution of contract documentation (warranties, bonds, licenses) and provide expert advice on contract administration.
• Manage cost control processes, including valuations, cost checking, monthly reporting, and identifying cost impacts from variations and design changes.
• Evaluate contractor claims for delays and additional costs, ensure accurate certification (practical completion, defects, final accounts), and manage close-out processes.
• Lead and develop cost consultancy teams, manage senior stakeholders, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support net zero carbon objectives through proactive cost and carbon management.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience delivering full life-cycle cost management services on large projects, including post-contract commercial management.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management (or equivalent).
• Professional membership such as MRICS/RICS (or equivalent).
• Detailed knowledge of most forms of contract.
