About the Role

Talent Blueprint FZ LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Fan ID Database Manager to oversee the critical Fan ID databases for a major international event. This role aims to ensure the integrity, security, performance, and readiness of all data supporting the event's Fan ID system. The Senior Fan ID Database Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of Fan ID data, from storage and maintenance to validation and protection, ensuring seamless integration with various critical event systems.

This is a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a fixed term from July 1, 2026, to February 15, 2027. The role requires a proactive and meticulous individual capable of managing large-scale, mission-critical systems and sensitive personal data.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of Fan ID database environments.
  • Ensure high availability, optimal performance, scalability, and robust security of database systems throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Manage all aspects of data migration, synchronization, validation, cleansing, and quality assurance processes for Fan ID data.
  • Oversee the seamless integration and efficient data exchange between the Fan ID system, ticketing, accreditation, access control, and other core event systems.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive database governance policies, including backup and recovery, data retention, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Proactively monitor database performance, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant data protection, cybersecurity, privacy, and information security regulations and requirements.
  • Effectively coordinate with technology providers, government entities, system engineers, and various project teams to ensure compatibility and successful implementation.
  • Provide critical support for testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and operational readiness exercises.
  • Develop and maintain effective reporting frameworks, dashboards, and data monitoring tools to provide insights into database status and performance.
  • Manage database incidents, lead troubleshooting efforts, and handle technical escalations to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, operational procedures, risk assessments, and comprehensive post-event reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Database Management, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in database administration, enterprise systems management, or large-scale technology environments.
  • Proven strong experience with enterprise database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large volumes of sensitive personal data and mission-critical systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of database security best practices, backup and recovery strategies, replication techniques, performance tuning methodologies, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience working with system integration, APIs, and various data exchange platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities and strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in English is required; fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Additional Job Information

This is a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, running from July 1, 2026, to February 15, 2027. Experience in supporting major international events, sports events, exhibitions, festivals, government programs, or large-scale public initiatives is a preferred advantage. Experience in supporting Fan ID, digital identity, accreditation, ticketing, access management, or large-scale customer registration systems is highly desirable. Experience working with government digital identity platforms and large-scale customer databases is a significant advantage. Relevant professional certifications (*, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS, Azure, or equivalent) are a preferred advantage.
