About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Manager - Commercial - Transport to oversee budget management, cost control, and comprehensive reporting for significant transport infrastructure projects. This role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and operates on a full-time basis. The position requires a strong understanding of reporting and forecasting systems, including Power BI, PRISM, or similar platforms, to ensure financial discipline, accurate forecasting, and detailed reporting that supports strategic decision-making and project success.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies specifically for transport projects to optimize profitability and value.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and partners within the transport sector.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring strict adherence to cost control measures.
  • Collaborate effectively with finance, legal, procurement, and project management teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Identify commercial risks associated with transport projects and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the commercial team engaged in transport initiatives.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on commercial performance to senior management.
  • Stay informed about market trends and regulatory developments within the transport industry.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Cost Engineering, Legal, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in commercial construction delivery, ideally with exposure to both contractor and consultancy roles, and experience in program-wide positions managing large commercial teams across multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in major program management, including handling multiple projects, conflicting priorities, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in the KSA / Middle East region is preferred.
  • Proven experience leading commercial management of major projects within highly regulated, complex, and matrixed environments, covering the full project lifecycle from bidding through to final account.
  • Subject matter expertise in contracts, claims, and arbitration.

  • Ability to support a team through periods of business change and adapt to evolving business requirements.
  • Capacity to provide strategic support and guidance in managing and prioritizing the workload of a commercial and contract administration team, demonstrating deadline-driven performance and workload optimization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to various audiences and influence at senior levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level management software, such as Prism, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire large, diverse teams and achieve results.
  • Leadership capabilities to guide the direction of the commercial function, including endorsing or opposing practices as necessary.
