About the Role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Manager to join its AI & Data practice, focusing on Data Modernization within the Private Sector. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business and technical requirements into custom end-to-end architectures aligned with client needs.
  • Modernize traditional data platform architectures using concepts such as Agentic AI.
  • Architect end-to-end Agentic AI solutions, including the necessary governance and orchestration components.
  • Lead multiple large-scale data platform implementations, particularly within the public sector.
  • Prepare data engineering pipelines utilizing tools and platforms including Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, T-SQL, Python, Spark, or cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle OCI).
  • Design and maintain physical data models for data warehouses (dimensional models) and operational databases (relational models).
  • Design and implement real-time and event-based data engineering pipelines.
  • Design and implement data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources such as APIs, Web Services, Databases, Streams, Files, and Object Storage.
  • Design and implement slowly changing dimensions.
  • Orchestrate multiple data engineering pipelines based on data source and business requirements.
  • Manage the end-to-end deployment of data engineering pipelines using appropriate DevOps practices and tools.
  • Conduct data source analysis, source-to-target mapping, and transformation rule design and definition.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Apply data quality frameworks and rules within data engineering pipelines.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of data processing and analytics workflows for efficiency and scalability.
  • Produce high-quality work products and collaborate to deliver a superior client experience.
  • Understand business functions, sector trends, and their impact on client businesses.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of key business processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Science Major.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience is required.
  • Experience in the public sector is mandatory.
  • 6-10 years of hands-on Data Engineering & Architecture experience, including designing and implementing data engineering pipelines, ETL frameworks, physical data models (dimensional and relational), data pipeline orchestration, and related activities.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a deadline-oriented environment with flexible work hours.
  • Willingness to travel across the GCC region (approximately 75% of the time).

Additional Information

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. An Arabic speaker is preferred. Experience within a Big Four firm or a Global System Integrator is considered a plus.
