About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Material Engineer to join its site team for a significant public realm development project in Riyadh and Ad Dir'iyah. This full-time position involves contributing to a large-scale program focused on creating vibrant, inclusive parks, open spaces, and streetscapes, enhancing livability and accessibility within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct or supervise tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Plan and manage laboratory operations to develop material and fabrication procedures aligned with cost, product specifications, and performance requirements.
• Review and provide recommendations for material selection based on project design objectives.
• Address and resolve engineering problems across various fields.
• Complete, check, and process test results and reports.
• Provide geotechnical and Quality Control (QC) recommendations.
• Ensure the field laboratory adheres to technical requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of inspections for embankments, concrete, and pavement.
• Verify the validity of off-site testing and certifications.
• Check and report on compliance with specification requirements for compaction, gradation, mix proportions, strength, etc., during the construction of embankments, structures, pavements, and incidental items.
• Establish laboratory and field testing procedures.
• Analyze foundation conditions.
• Develop and implement schedules for test frequency and coverage across all contracts, and supervise field survey parties to fulfill survey requests.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• At least 10 years of overall experience in quality assurance/quality control within infrastructure, roads, landscape, and related works.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Thorough familiarity with construction-related processes relevant to the area of assignment.
