Senior Oracle Administrator

About the Role

HCLTech is seeking a Senior Oracle Administrator to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves installing, maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting predominantly Oracle products, with a focus on helping customers effectively utilize technology. The administrator will provide primary support for critical, complex production Oracle databases that run financial applications, ensuring content integrity across multiple Oracle database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support by performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions for complex incidents involving Oracle Administration and PostgreSQL, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with support teams to resolve complex tickets within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring seamless operations and a strong security posture across various database environments.
• Conduct knowledge base updates and manage documentation to improve operational efficiency and facilitate training for new analysts.
• Coach and mentor analysts to enhance their skills in troubleshooting and incident resolution, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
• Strive for positive customer experiences by achieving First Call Resolution targets, minimizing rejected resolutions and case reopens, and proactively addressing potential security threats.

Technical Expertise

The role requires hands-on experience and expertise in several key database areas, including:

• High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) deployment across MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Database Migration and Optimization for MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Database Performance Management for MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Database Consolidation and Capacity Management for MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Oracle Administration and related database management.
• Working experience with an organization that relies on 24x7 database reliability.
