About the Role

Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading international main contractor on a major 40MW Data Centre project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This project represents a significant development, and we are looking for candidates with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale data centre projects, from inception through to final handover, specifically within a main contractor environment.

Key Project Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership of the execution of a 40MW Data Centre project, overseeing all phases from mobilisation through to commissioning and final handover. Project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers will be effectively managed to achieve the defined project objectives. The incumbent ensures the project is executed safely, to the specified schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves developing and implementing robust execution strategies and detailed delivery plans, closely monitoring construction progress and proactively mitigating risks to ensure key project milestones are met. Close coordination with client representatives and key stakeholders will be maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Commercial performance leadership and ensuring strict adherence to all contractual obligations are also key responsibilities, overseeing all testing, commissioning, and final handover activities to ensure a seamless project completion. The incumbent will provide strong leadership, direction, and performance management to the project delivery team.

Qualifications and Key Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in delivering large-scale or hyperscale data centre projects.
• Must have successfully delivered at least one data centre project from inception to completion.
• A strong background working for recognised main contractors is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary construction teams on complex projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills are required.
• A comprehensive understanding of project controls, programme management, cost management, quality assurance, and HSE requirements is essential.
