About the Role

Cipher is seeking a Senior System and Network Administrator to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to managing and enhancing the company's IT infrastructure, administering Microsoft 365 services, and ensuring robust security and compliance across all systems.

Role Overview

The Senior System and Network Administrator will be responsible for the operational integrity, security, and continuous improvement of Cipher's IT environment. This includes hands-on management of infrastructure operations, system implementation, Microsoft 365 administration, and maintaining stringent security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers, network devices, and related infrastructure.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents escalated from the Help Desk or monitoring systems.
  • Perform regular system patching, backup verification, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and directory services across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Ensure high system availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Plan and execute small to medium infrastructure enhancements and upgrades.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, virtual machines, and network equipment.
  • Implement firewall rule modifications, network reconfigurations, and infrastructure improvements as required.

Microsoft 365 and Cybersecurity Administration

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Configure and maintain security features such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access.
  • Monitor Microsoft 365 service health and resolve operational issues.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC).
  • Apply security best practices related to Access Management, Patch Management, Network Segmentation, and Logging & Monitoring.
  • Participate in internal audits and remediation activities to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to improve infrastructure security posture.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in System and Network Administration.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure in production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining IT security best practices.
  • Familiarity with NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC) requirements is required.
