About the Senior Telecommunication Engineer Role

alfanar Electric is seeking a Senior Telecommunication Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 4 to 6 years of experience in implementing and maintaining efficient and reliable communication systems within automation environments. The role focuses on ensuring seamless data exchange and integration to support the smooth operation and control of distribution and substation automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the telecommunication network infrastructure, selecting appropriate communication technologies (*, fiber optics, microwave, radio) and specifying necessary equipment.
• Select and implement communication protocols and standards to ensure reliable and secure data transfer between devices and systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of telecommunication systems with control systems, monitoring devices, sensors, protection equipment, and other automation components.
• Test and verify the performance and reliability of telecommunication systems through tests, simulations, and evaluations.
• Troubleshoot communication issues and failures, taking appropriate actions for resolution.
• Upgrade telecommunication systems by monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing enhancements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of telecommunication systems, including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Prepare reports on system performance, issues, and recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure compliance of telecommunication systems with relevant standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
