About the ServiceNow Solution Architect Role

DXC Technology is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Solution Architect to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to contribute to the strategic development and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The ServiceNow Solution Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overall architectural blueprint of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational standards. This role involves designing scalable and secure solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the platform, leading the implementation of various ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM, and overseeing the integration of ServiceNow with other enterprise systems. Ensuring data consistency and integrity, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, and enhancing user experience are key aspects of this position.

Key Duties and Tasks

  • Develop and maintain the overall architectural blueprint of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Ensure platform architecture aligns with industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Design scalable and secure solutions leveraging ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Lead the implementation of ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, etc.).
  • Oversee the integration of ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity across the platform and integrated systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance user experience and platform efficiency.

Platform Management and Governance

Responsibilities extend to overseeing the customization of ServiceNow applications to meet specific business needs and leading the development of custom applications and modules. Ensuring all customizations are properly documented and maintainable is crucial. The role involves establishing and enforcing platform governance and best practices, conducting regular reviews of platform performance, scalability, and security, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Collaboration with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions and fostering a collaborative team culture are also key duties.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years working with the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proven experience in ServiceNow implementation, customization, and integration.
  • Experience in a leadership or architectural role within a complex IT environment.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) preferred.
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications (*, ITSM, ITOM) are advantageous.

Technical Skills and Competencies

Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and CSM, along with a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform's capabilities and architecture. Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including JavaScript, Glide API, and REST/SOAP APIs, is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously are required. The role also involves providing technical guidance and support to development and administrative teams, and communicating effectively with senior management and stakeholders regarding platform strategy and performance. Staying updated with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and industry trends is expected.
