About the Site Electrical Engineer Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Site Electrical Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to significant solar PV projects.

Site Execution and Supervision

The Site Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the execution and supervision of electrical installation works for solar PV projects, covering both DC and AC systems. This includes overseeing the installation of solar modules, string wiring, junction boxes, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, and switchgear. Coordination with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams is essential to ensure smooth site execution, adhering strictly to approved drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and project specifications.

Electrical Systems and Commissioning Support

Key responsibilities in this area involve supervising the installation of DC cabling, AC cabling, earthing systems, and lightning protection. The role includes performing and supervising testing and commissioning of inverters, transformers, panels, and protection systems. Essential testing procedures such as IR, continuity, polarity, and functional tests will be carried out. Support will also be provided for grid synchronization and the final handover to the client or utility.

Quality and Safety Compliance

Ensuring adherence to all electrical safety norms, project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, and relevant statutory regulations is paramount. The engineer will maintain quality standards through regular inspections as per QA/QC checklists. Proactive identification and resolution of site execution issues are critical to maintaining project integrity and safety.

Coordination and Reporting

Effective coordination with vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams is a core function. The role requires the preparation of daily progress reports (DPR), material reconciliation, and comprehensive site documentation. The Site Electrical Engineer will support the project manager in tracking schedules and resolving execution challenges to ensure project milestones are met.
