About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Sous Chef to join the voco® Riyadh team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Context

voco® Riyadh is located on King Fahad Road, within the city's business district, offering contemporary comfort and exceptional design. As part of the IHG family, you will contribute to delivering True Hospitality to guests and owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct food preparation activities and collaborate with the executive chef.
• Assist in the design of food and beverage menus.
• Produce high-quality dishes, focusing on both presentation and taste.
• Oversee and supervise kitchen staff operations.
• Support menu planning, inventory management, and supply control.
• Ensure food quality standards are met and maintain kitchen condition.
• Maintain station cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Provide suggestions for kitchen performance improvements.
• Prepare food items according to established procedures.
• Schedule kitchen staff shifts.
• Train new employees on kitchen operations and standards.
• Order food supplies as needed.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment functionality.
• Address and resolve operational issues within the kitchen.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chef de Partie (CDP) with high-volume food production.
• Strong supervisory capabilities.
• Good communication skills and a positive professional attitude.
• Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
• Excellent grooming and hygiene standards.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Dedication to providing exceptional service and continuous improvement.
