In this role, you will be responsible for the sterilization and decontamination processes within a hospital environment, ensuring compliance with various health standards and regulations. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with CBAHI Standards, Public Health Authority, MOH, and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain sterilization records, including sterilization time, temperature, pressure, and other critical parameters.
• Facilitate the availability of personal protective equipment during decontamination.
• Ensure maintenance of negative and positive pressure in designated areas.
• Contribute to decontamination policies per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Administer sterilization policies regarding the reprocessing of single-use items.
• Develop and implement disinfection schedules and food storage policies.
• Oversee pest control and medical waste disposal procedures.
• Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and prepare necessary equipment for medical procedures.
• Monitor sterilization processes and document all findings.
• Ensure adherence to occupational safety and health requirements.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in CSSD Technology or a relevant field.
• Current Registration in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a hospital environment, especially in the CCSD department.

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge of healthcare regulations from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Excellent documentation skills and a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance practices.
• Awareness of health hazards and safety protocols in the healthcare setting.
• Ability to operate technology equipment and web application software related to the position.
• Broad knowledge of CSSD principles, standards, and practices.

Join Our Team as a Sterilization Specialist!

As a Sterilization Specialist at Nahdi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of medical procedures by maintaining proper sterilization of medical and surgical tools. Your responsibilities will include:

• Decontaminating surgical and medical instruments.
• Preparing operating areas and setting up equipment for surgical procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with health regulations to protect patients from infections.
• Assembling medical equipment and performing quality control checks.
• Conducting inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed.
• Maintaining accurate sterilization records and keeping tools organized for timely access by physicians.

In this role, you will work primarily indoors, with a structured schedule of 6 working days with 1 day off each week. Working hours are from 9 AM to 1 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM, allowing for a 4-hour break in between.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (chemistry, microbiology, biology, biochemistry).
• A professional accreditation certificate from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receive and decontaminate soiled surgical instruments and equipment from clinical areas.
• Operate automated cleaning and sterilization equipment, ensuring proper function and performance.
• Inspect cleaned instruments for damage and report issues to supervisors.
• Assemble instrument sets and procedure packs according to established protocols.
• Prepare instruments for sterilization following manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor sterilization cycles and document parameters for compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of processing activities and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with storage and inventory control protocols.

Qualifications:

• CSSD Technology Diploma from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
