About the Role

Hudson IT and Manpower is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer – Team Leader for a contract position in Riyadh. This role is with a prominent EPC organization specializing in Power Transmission & Distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design transmission line towers utilizing the PLS Tower software.
Conduct structural analysis and design for pile, pad & chimney, and rock anchor foundations.
Perform engineering calculations using software such as Excel, MathCAD, and STAAD Pro.
Review and validate design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
Ensure all designs adhere to international standards, including ACI 318 and ASCE 10.
Collaborate with project, execution, and site teams to address design-related inquiries.
Lead and mentor junior design engineers to ensure timely project delivery.
Optimize designs for safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Engineering (** or Bachelor of Technology (**** in Civil Engineering is mandatory. A Master of Engineering (** or Master of Technology (**** in Structural Engineering is preferred. Education must be from regular full-time programs.
Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of experience in Transmission Line (OHL) Design Engineering is required. Hands-on experience in Transmission Tower Design and Foundation Design is mandatory.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in PLS Tower is mandatory.
Knowledge of PLS-CADD is considered an advantage.
Experience with STAAD Pro, MathCAD, SP Column, and MS Excel.
A strong understanding of Transmission Tower & Foundation Design principles.
Familiarity with international design standards such as ACI 318 and ASCE 10.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership capabilities.
