About the Role

HUDSON is seeking a Structural Design Engineer (Civil - OHTL) L1 for full-time employment in Riyadh. This role involves contributing to ongoing Overhead Transmission Line (OHL) projects within a leading EPC organization specializing in Power Transmission & Distribution. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in transmission line design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design transmission line towers utilizing PLS Tower software.
• Conduct structural analysis and design for pile, pad & chimney, and rock anchor foundations.
• Perform engineering calculations using tools such as Excel, MathCAD, and STAAD Pro.
• Review and validate design drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs adhere to international standards, including ACI 318 and ASCE 10.
• Collaborate with project, execution, and site teams to address design-related inquiries.
• Optimize designs for safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Engineering (** or Bachelor of Technology (**** in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• A Master of Engineering (** or Master of Technology (**** in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Transmission Line (OHL) Design Engineering is required.
• Hands-on experience in Transmission Tower Design and Foundation Design is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in PLS Tower software is mandatory.
• Familiarity with international design standards such as ACI 318 and ASCE 10 is necessary.

Technical Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in PLS Tower is essential.
• Experience with STAAD Pro, MathCAD, SP Column, and MS Excel is required.
• A strong understanding of Transmission Tower & Foundation Design principles is needed.
• Knowledge of PLS-CADD will be considered an advantage.
