About the Role

Camco - Capital Metro Company is seeking a dedicated Technician (RST) to join its team in Al Nada District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring the operational readiness and safety of the metro system's Rolling Stock (RST). The position involves executing preventive and corrective maintenance, analyzing equipment disruptions, and performing essential shunting operations within the depot area.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on RST equipment in strict accordance with relevant regulations, good industry practices, and international benchmarks.
• Analyze disruptions in RST equipment and implement appropriate preventive measures under the guidance of the RST Shift Supervisor.
• Manage the movement of RST vehicles within the depot area, which includes manually driving trains and operating shunting vehicles.
• Conduct pre-shunting safety checks, perform coupling and de-coupling of trains, and ensure secure parking of vehicles in designated areas.
• Prepare all necessary materials, tools, and workshop equipment required for maintenance activities.
• Document equipment failures accurately and submit reports to superiors through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Provide support and assistance to the RST Shift Supervisor in various tasks.

Technical Maintenance and Operations

• Perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance, including repairing systems covered by the maintenance section, as per instructions from superior personnel.
• Operate specialized tools, equipment, measuring devices, and maintenance vehicles necessary for performing maintenance and repair tasks.
• Repair RST assets in full conformance with current technical documentation and standards.
• Conduct thorough safety and operational checks on all railway vehicles before and after shunting operations.
• Coordinate and execute the shunting of trains from handover tracks to light or heavy maintenance workspaces, utilizing either manual mode or a shunting vehicle.
• Perform power-up and shut-down operations for trains, including switching on/off components such as HVAC and lighting, before and after shunting.
• Connect and disconnect railway vehicles to/from fixed or mobile 750V DC power supplies (stinger operation) or charging units.
• Drive emergency response vehicles on the service line during emergency rescue situations.

Required Qualifications

• Vocational training in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical fields (*, electrician, wireman, machinist, refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic, machine tool maintenance mechanic).

Experience Profile

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience working in the field of maintenance for complex technical systems.
• Preferably, experience gained within railway or metro Rolling Stock (RST) operation and maintenance organizations.
• Service experience in the metro train field from a contractor or sub-contractor (OEM) side is highly valued, especially concerning brake systems, HVAC, TMS, propulsion, doors, bogie, and suspension systems.
• Experience in handling the operation and maintenance of Depot Workshop Equipment is considered an advantage.
