The Role: Typhoon DASS Test & Verification Engineer

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Typhoon DASS Test & Verification Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role offers a competitive salary and is crucial for ensuring the integrity and functionality of the Defensive Aid Sub-system (DASS) Mission Data (MD) for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Typhoon. The primary purpose is to generate comprehensive test plans, execute verification procedures for DASS MD, and produce detailed test reports. The Engineer will also facilitate knowledge transfer, enabling the RSAF to independently test and verify MD designed for their Typhoon DASS.

Core Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Review Mission Requirement Specifications (MRS).
• Review DASS MD specifications.
• Generate DASS MD test procedures.
• Generate test scenarios.
• Analyse Missile Approach Warning (MAW) MD values for compliance against DASS MD specifications.
• Produce DASS test reports.
• Provide Aircrew Briefing Guide (ABG) input to the Operations section.
• Develop and maintain relevant processes and procedures.

Key Verification Activities

A significant part of this role involves running DASS MD test procedures, which includes:

• Performing Defensive Aid Computer (DAC) and Enhanced Computer Symbol Generator (ECSG) MD Verification.
• Performing Electronic Support Measures (ESM) MD Verification.
• Performing DAC, ESM, and Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) MD Verification.

Reporting Lines

For all operational and technical aspects, this role reports to the RSAF MD Production Supervisor. Personnel issues are managed through Prime Contractor Management in KSA, as outlined in the Organisation Chart.
