The Role of UI/UX Specialist

CodeNinja Inc. is seeking a UI/UX Specialist with significant experience in Design Systems. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, and involves working onsite with one of CodeNinja's leading clients in the banking sector. The specialist will be responsible for managing the client's design system across its digital channels, ensuring a consistent, accessible, and scalable customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the design system across all digital channels.
• Create reusable UI components, design patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistent customer experiences.
• Define and manage design tokens, including typography, colors, spacing, and iconography.
• Ensure UI components meet accessibility, usability, and responsive design requirements across all screen sizes.
• Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and product teams to align design components with implementation.
• Maintain component libraries in Figma, providing clear documentation on usage, behavior, and interaction states.
• Establish governance processes for component contributions, reviews, approvals, versioning, and retirement.
• Audit digital products to identify inconsistencies and assist teams in adopting approved components.
• Support teams in adopting the design system through training, onboarding, and ongoing guidance.
• Track component adoption, design consistency, and improvements in design and development efficiency.
• Verify that design standards align with brand identity and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in UI/UX, with a focus on Design Systems.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage large-scale design systems.
• Proficiency in Figma and other relevant design tools.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards, usability principles, and responsive design.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
