Job Description

About the Role

Sanabil Studio, Sanabil's in-house venture studio, is seeking a Visual Designer to join their team in Riyadh Region. This full-time position involves shaping the visual identity for both the studio's venture-building initiatives and its early-stage community activities.

Role Overview

The Visual Designer will be responsible for the complete visual representation of Sanabil Studio's output. This includes graphics, photography, motion, and the physical experience within the studio space. The role supports the studio's mission to build and back category-defining companies in Saudi Arabia and activate Sanabil's curated network of founders, operators, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated creative functions including graphics, photography, motion, video, and the overall in-space visual identity.
  • Provide visual support for studio ventures (brand identity, decks, launch assets, product marketing collateral) and the early-stage community (events, content, signage).
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system, encompassing typography, color palettes, grids, components, motion principles, and bilingual (Arabic/Latin) standards.
  • Manage the end-to-end design of event materials, including invites, posters, signage, name badges, programs, social media posts, and recap content.
  • Capture event photography, focusing on key moments, speakers, candid founder portraits, and the overall atmosphere, delivering edited sets promptly.
  • Build and maintain a library of founder portraits and environmental photography of the studio space.
  • Produce short-form vertical video content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok), event aftermovies, and long-form content for significant occasions.
  • Direct on-site shooting, including rig setup, lighting, and ensuring subjects are comfortable on camera.
  • Oversee the in-space experience, including signage, wayfinding, event installations, seasonal displays, and founder welcome kits.
  • Brief and manage external vendors such as printers, fabricators, and AV suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Create templated assets within Figma and Canva libraries to enable self-service by internal teams while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Contribute to studio venture briefs as needed, supporting brand initiatives, launch activities, and pitch decks for new companies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience as a designer with expertise across at least three of the following disciplines: graphics, motion, video, and photography.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of work, including print, digital, motion, and ideally environmental or spatial design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, and Lightroom.
  • Comfort and practical experience on photo shoots, including basic lighting knowledge and experience photographing people in real environments.
  • Ability to interpret briefs, propose creative directions, and execute projects independently from conception to completion.
  • A refined aesthetic sense and clear opinions on quality, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively under deadline pressure.
  • A bilingual design sensibility with the capacity to maintain high standards in both Arabic and Latin scripts.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English, enabling effective communication with vendors, direction on set, and presentations to leadership.
  • Bonus qualifications include experience designing for early-stage ventures or premium consumer brands, skills in 3D, exhibition design, or long-form video production, and an active personal creative practice.

Work Environment and Culture

This role offers significant creative ownership, functioning as an art director, photographer, editor, and brand guardian. The environment emphasizes quality without compromise, providing the mandate and support to uphold high visual standards. The position is part of an ambitious initiative at an early stage, where the design system built will significantly influence Sanabil's visual presence for the coming decade.
