About Red Sea Global and Red Sea Sports & Entertainment
Red Sea Global (RSG) is developing The Red Sea destination, with its dedicated subsidiary, Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE), responsible for designing and delivering land and marine experiences. RSSE manages a portfolio including water sports through Galaxea, adventure activities via Akun, and leisure experiences delivered by WAMA. RSSE plays a strategic role in partnership with the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee, promoting inclusive sports and recreational experiences aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 to support the Kingdom’s ambition in regenerative tourism.
The Role of Senior Instructor
Red Sea Global is seeking a Senior Instructor to join the team in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The Senior Instructor holds a critical leadership role within The Red Sea destination, supporting Akun Adventure management in the safe, effective, and high-quality operation of adventure assets. This position contributes to the growth and diversification of inland adventure trails and experiences, ensuring world-class delivery for guests. The role involves supporting the operational rollout of adventure programs, leading activity delivery, and providing hands-on training, mentoring, and performance support to the instructor team. Close collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and local communities is essential to ensure alignment, safety, and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, enhancement, and growth of Akun Adventure activities and inland adventure destinations across The Red Sea.
- Support the training, daily operations, and delivery of all Akun Adventure activities, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Assist the leadership team in ensuring full compliance of instructors, guides, guests, and activities with destination-specific SOPs and RAMS, including contributing to their development, review, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of instructors, fostering a strong safety culture and a premium guest service mindset.
- Oversee teams to ensure all inland destinations, venues, and adventure equipment are consistently clean, safe, and properly maintained.
- Actively promote and advocate for all adventure activities across the wider RSSE portfolio, including Galaxea and WAMA.
- Participate in regular operational and performance review sessions with senior adventure leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and operational updates.
- Interpret, apply, and enforce relevant international adventure and outdoor regulations, liaising with local and international sporting bodies as required.
- Support incident management, reporting, and follow-up actions, ensuring lessons learned are embedded into operations and training.
- Act as a role model on-site, leading activities when required and maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and guest engagement.
Policies, Processes, and Reporting
The Senior Instructor is responsible for complying with all RSSE and Red Sea Global policies, systems, SOPs, and operational procedures to ensure controlled and consistent delivery. This includes supporting the preparation of accurate and timely MIS reports, operational updates, and incident documentation in line with corporate and departmental requirements.
Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement
The role requires applying safety, quality, and environmental management policies to ensure employee and guest safety, legislative compliance, service excellence, and responsible environmental stewardship. The Senior Instructor will promote a strong safety-first culture, proactively identifying risks and supporting mitigation measures across all adventure operations. Furthermore, this position contributes to the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across adventure operations, systems, and training practices, aligned with international best practice and operational excellence.
Work Context and Candidate Profile
This role operates across multiple inland adventure locations within The Red Sea destination. It requires flexibility, physical fitness, and the ability to work effectively in outdoor and remote environments. The Senior Instructor is expected to represent Akun Adventure and Red Sea Sport & Entertainment with professionalism, leadership, and integrity at all times.
