About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN & EAL Specialist to join our small, dynamic school community. This role is pivotal in ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those for whom English is an Additional Language (EAL) receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • SEN Leadership & Support: Design and implement IEPs for students with SEN. Provide targeted interventions and classroom accommodations. Monitor progress and adjust strategies to ensure inclusion and success.
  • EAL Support: Plan and deliver tailored support for students with English as an Additional Language. Collaborate with teachers to embed language development strategies across the curriculum.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with the School Counsellor, teachers, and parents to ensure holistic support. Contribute to joint case reviews and multidisciplinary planning.
  • Professional Development & Compliance: Stay current with best practices in SEN and EAL education. Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings and training.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Essential: Relevant degree in Education or a related field. Formal qualifications and proven experience in SEN support.
  • Highly Valued: Experience and/or certifications in EAL instruction. Knowledge of inclusive pedagogy and differentiated learning strategies.
