About the Role

Jubail and Yanbu Industrial Cities Services Company (JABEEN) is seeking an Airport Safety Management Director to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time role involves leading and overseeing all aspects of airport safety, health, and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to civil aviation regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with civil aviation requirements and international standards.
• Monitor environmental compliance programs related to waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
• Oversee the safe operation of vehicles and equipment within the airport to prevent collisions with aircraft and other equipment, and ensure safe handling and transport of hazardous materials.
• Coordinate responses to hazardous material incidents, including containment, cleanup procedures, and ensuring the safety of personnel and the environment.
• Prepare and conduct emergency drills and evacuation exercises to test readiness and improve the effectiveness of incident response.
• Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure airport facilities are safe and free from hazards, including foreign object debris (FOD).
• Lead investigations into safety incidents and near misses to identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on incidents and hazards, recommend mitigation measures, and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and best practices in safety and environmental management, and coordinate with regulatory bodies and auditors during inspections and audits.
• Ensure that safety and environmental documents and records are maintained and updated in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and update emergency response plans for various scenarios, including aircraft incidents, hazardous material spills, and natural disasters.
• Coordinate with emergency response teams and agencies to ensure readiness and effective response.
• Monitor and update the Airport Safety Management System (SMS) manual in accordance with General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) requirements and GACAR Part 139.
• Supervise the safety team, develop staff skills, ensure the implementation of policies and procedures, and prepare periodic reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Aviation Safety, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in airport safety, including airport operations, airside, and/or terminal experience, or related fields.
• Proven experience in leadership, management, or supervisory roles related to airport safety, with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
• Understanding of GACA regulations and rules, particularly GACAR Part 139 and other relevant operational requirements.
• Professional certifications in the same field are preferred.

Work Type

This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. Salary for this role will be disclosed during the interview process.
