Join our team at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) as an Electronics Hardware Technician!
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our international Product Hospital operations, focusing on product failure analysis and repairs. If you love hands-on component level troubleshooting and are eager to serve customers globally, this position is perfect for you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot SEL products at the component level.
  • Provide technical support for SEL products to both staff and customers.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in SEL processes and products to ensure quality and integrity.
  • Train junior department personnel in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Implement department objectives as directed by your supervisor.
  • Model and apply SEL values and principles of operations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong English reading, technical writing, and speaking skills.
  • Two-year electronics engineering technology degree or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with modern test equipment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in component level troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of SEL equipment.
  • Technical presentation and data analysis skills.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally.
