About the Role

Saipem is seeking a QC Supervisor – POSE to join their team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the quality and compliance of purchased goods and services throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves overseeing quality control activities, managing documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve project objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the execution of quality control activities on purchased goods, verifying documentation against purchase order requirements, project procedures, and contract conditions, while optimizing costs.
  • Maintain timely and accurate updates of Company Information Tools/Systems with quality control and inspection data, including Inspection Reports and Inspection Release Notes.
  • Coordinate internal inspectors and/or inspection agencies to achieve project goals through cost-effective solutions, leveraging Company network synergies, best practices, and procedures.
  • Review project quality control requirements and contractual documentation to identify discrepancies and prevent misunderstandings, applying a supply chain management approach.
  • Support the Materials Management (MM) department in the issuance of Project QC procedures.
  • Contribute to the finalization of PMC (Project Management Consultancy) and IDS (Inspection Data Sheet) documentation.
  • Support the MM department on PO Inspection Classification.
  • Provide specialist support to the engineering department for the review of vendor quality control documents, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Test Procedures.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation (Inspection Assignment Package) is available to the designated inspector before inspection activities commence for each Project Purchase Order (PO).
  • Plan and organize Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIMs) with Vendors, ensuring attendance of all relevant parties including Sub-Vendors, Saipem representatives, the Client, and any other required third-party personnel.
  • Ensure the correct project inspection notification workflow with the Client and/or Third Parties in accordance with contractual requirements, and verify all necessary documentation is available prior to inspection notification confirmation.
  • Check all inspection reports received from internal and external inspectors, ensuring their correct distribution and filing in the SAP system.
  • Verify satisfactory conditions and ensure the timely issuance of the Inspection Release Note in SAP after a positive final test result.
  • Manage Non-Conformity Reports and Punch Lists in cases of unsatisfactory inspections.
  • Ensure the review and approval of vendor Manufactured Data Books and the timely issuance of the Final Test Certificate in SAP.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of external (agency) inspectors using the I-PERF system.
