Job Description

About the Role

Duruper is seeking a highly experienced and Saudi Aramco-approved QC Welding Inspector for a full-time position in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for ensuring that all welding activities on oil and gas projects adhere strictly to approved welding procedures, project specifications, and relevant international codes and standards. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining quality compliance, ensuring inspection integrity, and contributing to overall client satisfaction within the Saudi Aramco project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect all welding activities to ensure strict compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and all applicable codes and standards.
  • Monitor fit-up, welding execution, and post-weld activities to guarantee that all quality requirements are consistently met.
  • Verify the qualifications of welders, the suitability of welding consumables, and the proper functioning of welding equipment before commencing any welding operations.
  • Review and maintain all welding inspection records, comprehensive reports, and essential documentation.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, the Quality Control department, and client representatives to resolve any welding-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, quality management system requirements, and specific Saudi Aramco directives.
  • Support audits, inspections, and quality control reviews pertaining to welding activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience specifically within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven experience working as a QC Welding Inspector.
  • Hold a valid CSWIP Welding Inspector certification issued in 2022 or earlier.
  • Must have Saudi Aramco approval.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Welding Procedures and Project Specifications.
  • Thorough understanding of International Codes and Standards relevant to welding.
  • Proficiency in ensuring Quality Compliance and Inspection Integrity.
  • Ability to contribute to Client Satisfaction through diligent work.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Requirements and HSE standards.
  • Experience in managing Welding Inspection Records, Welding Inspection Reports, and Welding Inspection Documentation.
  • Familiarity with verifying Welder Qualifications, Welding Consumables, and Welding Equipment.
  • Competence in understanding and applying ITPs and WPS.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
