A purchasing specialist is required to work for a leading company in its field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and negotiation with suppliers. The candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing operations efficiently and effectively, ensuring the best prices and quality for the required materials and services. The job holder will perform the following tasks:

• Preparing and implementing purchasing plans according to the company's needs
• Negotiating with suppliers and managing relationships with them
• Analyzing prices and making comparisons between different offers
• Following up on purchase requests from the beginning to final delivery
• Preparing periodic reports on supplier performance and purchasing costs
• Ensuring compliance with approved purchasing policies and procedures
• Contributing to the development of purchasing strategies and improving processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and follow up on Project Material requests with the Procurement Supervisor.
  • Sourcing required material quotations from suppliers.
  • Manage material issuance to the Project Team and client collection.
  • Review design packages and prepare material requests in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly materials reports and forecasts for material requirements.
  • Ensure all instruments are calibrated and valid.
  • Track all project instruments and maintain a comprehensive log.

Preferred Candidate:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction or project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with effective organizational skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
