About the Tax Specialist Role

Al-Othman Holding Company is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its finance team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the group's compliance with national tax and Zakat regulations.

Role Overview

The Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing various tax-related functions, from preparing and submitting returns to reviewing calculations and handling objections. This role requires a meticulous approach to tax compliance and an ability to navigate the regulatory landscape set by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit Zakat and Income Tax returns for Al Othman Holding Group companies, ensuring the timely obtainment of Zakat certificates.
  • Review Zakat and tax calculations for the AOHC Group to ensure full alignment with Zakat regulations and Tax law.
  • Manage the preparation, submission, and consulting for monthly and yearly Withholding Tax (WHT), including the issuance of WHT certificates and the application of double tax treaty agreements.
  • Review incoming data and file formal objection letters against assessments issued by ZATCA.
  • Attend Tax Committee hearings for the resolution of violations and disputes, working alongside the Department Manager.
  • Handle objections specifically related to Value Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Tax (WHT).
  • Conduct detailed studies and technical analysis of ZATCA assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities for the group.
  • Provide expert consulting on matters concerning Zakat, Income Tax, WHT, and VAT.
  • Stay updated with ZATCA’s online legal updates and ensure all internal tax processes are organized according to the latest regulations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: 0-1 years of relevant experience in a tax-related field.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based at Al-Othman Holding Company's offices in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dedicated finance team, contributing to the overall financial health and compliance of the group.
