About the Role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tender & Quotation Specialist to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the optimal product mix and appropriate technical and commercial factors for each situation.
  • Ensure tenders are thoroughly documented in a timely manner with the necessary level of detail, including complete and accurate costings.
  • Manage the preparation of all technical aspects of bids, including defining the most suitable technology and product types.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of bids, such as creating total price sheets and conducting cash flow analyses.
  • Quantify engineering and commissioning hours where necessary for bid, estimate, or quotation preparation.
  • Provide inputs for editing activities on time and in accordance with established quality procedures, aligning with bid/estimate/quotation planning.
  • Manage external services required for bid and estimation preparation, such as translations and governmental approvals.
  • Collect and archive all documentation related to offers and orders, and record all assumptions and decisions made during the development process.
  • Regularly report on the status of bids, estimates, and quotations using defined tools.
  • Collect and analyze reasons for tenders being lost and won to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify potential risks within bids, quotations, estimates, and related contract agreements across customers and channels.
  • Provide information and participate in the Risk Review process in accordance with Hitachi Energy's policies.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to thoroughly understand their needs and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Provide necessary technical support to Sales Managers during technical meetings with customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience within the local unit.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional understanding of business processes within the local unit.
  • Proven experience in the Electrical substation field, covering all its aspects.
  • Strong delivery focus, ensuring effective solutions that drive business value.
  • Experience in representing the interests and requirements of the business.
  • Ability to generate new ideas and challenge the status quo.
  • Well-connected with the local management team.
