About the Role

Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking a Sales Supervisor to join its team in Hail. This full-time position involves managing a team of Salesmen and overseeing sales and distribution activities across assigned routes. The Sales Supervisor ensures that all sales and secondary distribution efforts are aligned with company policies to achieve established sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Core Responsibilities

The Sales Supervisor plays a pivotal role in guiding and motivating the sales team, optimizing sales routes, and ensuring operational efficiency to meet sales objectives. This includes a focus on market insights, customer relations, and maintaining product availability and quality standards.

Sales Strategy and Market Engagement

  • Assist the Area Sales Manager (ASM)/Branch Manager (BM) in setting sales targets for the team, providing guidance and motivation, and effectively managing sales routes to achieve targets within agreed costs and operational parameters.
  • Obtain and maintain information regarding relevant sales and distribution channels and competitor activity throughout the area, sharing insights and agreeing on appropriate actions with the ASM/BM.
  • Execute agreements with Modern Trade / Wholesale customers according to instructions, and maintain strong business relations with customer representatives in the designated area.
  • Initiate and organize sales to new clients in assigned routes, aligned with relevant departments and Sales & Distribution (S&D) plans, to increase sales.

Operational Oversight and Compliance

  • Ensure all sales staff are well-trained and execute the company’s Replenishment program, guaranteeing products are available in the right quantity and are the freshest possible at all times, as per system recommendations.
  • Optimize daily journey planning for the salesmen in the team, in cooperation with respective salesmen and in alignment with the ASM/BM, to plan customer routes efficiently and maximize productivity.
  • Monitor product shelf life at the point of sale, ensuring reserved product space is filled accordingly, no expired product is displayed, and rotation and wastage control adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Execute the approved company credit policy and manage credit and collection for all sales in the area, ensuring timely payments.
  • Ensure all company assets are well maintained and initiate repairs/replacements where necessary.

Team Leadership and Administrative Support

  • Manage people in line with SADAFCO’s HR policies, ensuring the required number and quality of personnel to enable the realization of S&D targets. This includes providing training for new recruits and current staff.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, administration, and reporting for the Area in MSFA (Mobile Sales Force Automation), according to S&D policies and procedures.
  • Lead and conduct effective daily MSFA endorsements with each Salesman by reviewing daily performance and identifying opportunities for action and follow-up.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean and tidy inside and out, and that salesmen’s uniforms conform to company standards, to represent the company professionally and be recognized by customers.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in sales supervision or a related field, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in achieving sales and distribution targets. Familiarity with sales force automation systems and a commitment to operational excellence are essential for this role. The Sales Supervisor must be familiar with and recognized by customers across their areas of responsibility.
