About the Academic Researcher Role
YO IT Consulting is seeking an Academic Researcher for a contract position. In this role, you will contribute to the training of next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world input that influences how models learn, reason, and perform.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis within your area of expertise to produce evidence-based insights.
- Prepare, format, and review complex documents in Word and PDF, utilizing advanced features such as tracked changes, form filling, and data extraction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, healthcare, policy, and finance professionals, to support diverse project needs.
- Translate complex research findings into clear, concise reports and presentations suitable for Fortune 500 standards.
- Evaluate and synthesize academic literature, legal documents, or industry data to inform project outcomes.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with designated guidelines in all written deliverables.
- Maintain clear and professional written and verbal communication with project stakeholders and team members.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in academic research, legal, policy, healthcare, or related sectors.
- A Master’s degree, PhD, or JD from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing and reviewing Word and PDF documents, including tracked changes, formatting, data extraction, and document review.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex deliverables.
- A proven record of producing high-quality, client-ready outputs.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with or for Fortune 500 companies.
- Prior involvement in legal, healthcare, policy, or financial operations document workflows.
- An active publication or presentation record in academic or industry settings.
Communication and Collaboration
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, coupled with meticulous attention to detail. You will be expected to maintain clear and professional communication with project stakeholders and team members throughout your contract.
Work Arrangement
This is a contract position. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities within a remote, deadline-driven environment.
