About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a dedicated Assistant Revenue Manager for a full-time position in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to maximizing transient revenue by effectively managing the transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s). The Assistant Revenue Manager plays a key part in recommending pricing and positioning strategies for cluster properties and overseeing the inventory management system to ensure alignment with agreed-upon selling strategies.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain the transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s) and release group rooms back into general inventory, ensuring clean booking windows for customers.
• Compile information, analyze, and monitor actual sales against projected sales, identifying underlying principles and facts.
• Utilize computer systems for programming, software setup, data entry, and information processing to generate accurate and timely reports and presentations.
• Conduct sales strategy analysis and refine approaches as appropriate to increase market share for all properties.
• Manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue and assist hotels with pricing and business evaluation recommendations.
• Ensure that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented, and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
• Lead efforts to coordinate strategies between group sales offices and support cluster selling initiatives by working with all reservation centers.
• Check distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
• Initiate, implement, and evaluate revenue tests, providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of revenue management processes.

Strategic Planning and Execution

• Update market knowledge and align strategies and approaches accordingly to achieve and exceed performance, budget, and team goals.
• Establish long-range objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve them, driving the execution of predetermined strategies.
• Provide revenue management functional expertise to cluster general managers, leadership teams, and market sales leaders.
• Ensure hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies and initiatives, promoting and protecting brand equity.
• Utilize reservation systems and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement, and control selling strategies.
• Ensure property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used to maximize revenue and profits.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and manage internal key stakeholder relationships in a proactive manner.
• Act as a liaison, when necessary, between property and regional/corporate systems support.
• Understand and meet the needs of key stakeholders, including owners, corporate, and guests.
• Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to hotels, clusters, franchise partners, and owners.

Qualifications and Experience

• A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, combined with 3 years of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or a related professional area.
• OR a 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, combined with 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, or a related professional area.
