Assistant. Push Manager

About the Role

Unilever is seeking an Assistant Push Manager to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing distributor relationships and performance to achieve growth targets and ensure product availability. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on foodservice and distributor management.

Role Purpose

The Assistant Push Manager will be responsible for overseeing distributors who carry Unilever products. This role focuses on optimizing distributor operations, managing investments, and building strong relationships to position Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) as a preferred supplier and trusted advisor in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage distributor spending in the market to ensure continuous improvement, quality, and value of investment in line with preset margin and investment growth targets.
• Collaborate with distributor management, sales representatives, and internal teams (pull, chains, culinary) to achieve predefined growth KPIs for distributors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and wholesalers, aiming for UFS to become a trusted advisor and preferred supplier by offering complete solutions based on customer business understanding.
• Develop win-win solutions for distributors/wholesalers and UFS.
• Liaise between distributor purchasing teams and Unilever’s supply chain to ensure 100% product availability with distributors as per agreed stock cover.
• Assist distributors and wholesalers in increasing revenue and/or efficiency, while also securing new product listings and boosting consumption of existing products.
• Implement systems and tracking tools to monitor and improve distributor performance and efficiency, initiating corrective actions for distributors or their sales representatives when necessary.
• Execute marketing promotions for operators through distribution partners.
• Create and propose customized marketing campaigns with distributors, aligned with their product offerings, portfolio, sales capabilities, and channel reach, in line with company marketing and sales priorities.
• Coordinate with distributors on stock availability and ensure compliance with various KPIs.
• Coach and develop distributor sales teams through continuous training and joint sales visits.
• Manage stock levels at distributor premises to prevent out-of-stock situations and write-offs.
• Manage distributors by implementing UFS NEO trading terms and ensuring full compliance with on and off-invoice KPIs.
• Manage TTS (Trade Term Spending) in line with UFS profitability targets and agreements with the line manager, ensuring efficient spending on activities that generate positive ROI and support sustainable growth.
• Ensure timely and complete submission of UFS-requested reports from distributors, adhering to UFS standards and templates.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in Foodservice.
• Demonstrated experience in distributor management.
