Job Description

About the Role

Four Points by Sheraton is seeking an Assistant Manager of Training to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for assisting in identifying and addressing employee and organizational development needs, ensuring effective training programs are in place to achieve desired business results. The role focuses on various topics, including product knowledge, company philosophy, customer service, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and inform employees about all available training programs.
  • Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify excellent customer service, and foster a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
  • Help employees identify specific behaviors that contribute to service excellence.
  • Ensure employees receive ongoing training to understand guest expectations and demonstrate guest satisfaction skills.
  • Meet regularly with the training cadre to support training efforts.
  • Observe service behaviors of employees and provide feedback to individuals and/or managers.

Training Program Development and Evaluation

  • Assist in conducting needs assessments, designing, and developing training programs.
  • Facilitate the delivery of both custom and corporate training programs.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training to ensure a return on investment.
  • Monitor enrollment and attendance at training classes.
  • Meet regularly with participants to assess progress and address concerns.
  • Partner with operational leaders to assess if employees demonstrate effective technical and leadership skills.
  • Review comment cards, guest satisfaction results, and other data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adult learning principles are incorporated into training programs.

Planning and Budget Management

  • Identify performance gaps and collaborate with managers to develop and implement appropriate training.
  • Assist with making necessary adjustments to training methodology and/or re-training as appropriate.
  • Align current training and development programs to effectively impact key business indicators.
  • Assist with establishing guidelines for employee expectations and parameters.
  • Develop specific training to improve service performance.
  • Drive brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities.
  • Incorporate guest satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the development and management of the training budget in alignment with Human Resources and property financial goals.
  • Manage department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 year of relevant experience is required.
