About the Executive Chef Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking an Executive Chef to lead its culinary operations. This full-time position reports directly to the General Manager and oversees all culinary activities across six distinct outlets, including two specialty restaurants, banquet facilities, and in-room dining. The role is central to ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and strong financial performance within the hotel's luxury waterfront setting on the Red Sea.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain culinary creativity while ensuring consistency and quality across all food and beverage outlets.
• Lead, inspire, and develop the culinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Develop innovative menus and seasonal promotions that align with the brand's positioning.
• Manage large-scale banquet operations with precision and attention to detail.
• Drive efficiency in food costs and productivity while upholding uncompromising quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and sustainability practices.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences and continuously enhance the dining experience.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in international luxury hospitality.
• Demonstrated experience as an Executive Chef or in a comparable senior culinary leadership role.
• Strong financial acumen and a disciplined approach to operations.
• Proven ability to mentor and build effective teams.
• Demonstrated creativity, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to guest engagement.
• Fluent communication in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an advantage.
