About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to oversee all housekeeping operations. This full-time position requires a professional dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction within a luxury hospitality environment.

Role Overview

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the planning, organization, direction, and control of all housekeeping activities. This includes ensuring the established standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and presentation are met across public areas and heart-of-the-house spaces. The role involves leading housekeeping operations to ensure exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction, aligning with Shangri-La’s luxury hospitality standards. Key areas of oversight include guest rooms, public areas, laundry services, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring a consistently high-quality environment that reflects the brand's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth housekeeping operations on a daily basis.
  • Lead and maintain a high standard of service within the housekeeping team.
  • Supervise and motivate the housekeeping team, including supervisors, room attendants, and laundry staff.
  • Monitor team performance and process flow to optimize efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance and replenishment of supplies in guest rooms.
  • Ensure quality assurance standards are consistently met.
  • Verify that the quality of service delivered complies with hotel guidelines and policies.
  • Adhere to the hotel's specified hygiene and personal appearance standards.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and attitude towards clients and colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar capacity, preferably within luxury hotels in GCC countries.
  • A strong understanding of room operations.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience.
