The Role of Clinical Instructor in General Medicine

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and motivated Clinical Instructor in the General Medicine Program. This full-time position is crucial for supporting clinical training, supervising students during their rotations, and ensuring the development of strong clinical competencies and professional standards. The role involves bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application in a dynamic educational environment.

Clinical Teaching and Supervision

• Supervise and guide students effectively during clinical rotations and practical sessions.
• Deliver bedside teaching, facilitate case discussions, and conduct clinical demonstrations.
• Support students in developing clinical reasoning, patient assessment, and decision-making skills.
• Ensure students adhere to safe, ethical, and professional conduct within clinical settings.
• Utilize simulation-based training methodologies where appropriate to enhance learning.

Student Assessment and Mentorship

• Evaluate students’ clinical performance using established structured assessment tools.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their continuous development.
• Mentor students and offer support to help them overcome academic and clinical challenges.

Academic and Professional Responsibilities

• Participate actively in student evaluations and clinical assessments, including Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, evaluations, and progress reports.
• Contribute to the preparation of course and program reports as required by the college.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital tools to support teaching activities and documentation.
• Adhere to institutional policies, clinical regulations, and high ethical standards in all professional activities.
