About the Role

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a full-time Faculty Member in Family Medicine to join its General Medicine Practice Program. This role is based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on contributing to high-quality medical education. The successful candidate will prepare future physicians to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered primary healthcare through teaching, clinical supervision, research, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate teaching in Family Medicine, including lectures, tutorials, clinical teaching, and case-based learning (CBL).
• Supervise students during clinical rotations in primary healthcare centers and family medicine clinics.
• Teach evidence-based approaches to preventive care, chronic disease management, health promotion, and patient-centered care.
• Utilize Blackboard (LMS), digital learning platforms, and educational technologies effectively.
• Prepare, administer, and evaluate examinations, assignments, and clinical assessments.
• Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and student evaluations.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to medical students.
• Foster clinical reasoning, professionalism, communication, and ethical practice among students.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Conduct research in Family Medicine or related healthcare disciplines and publish scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals.
• Participate in academic conferences, seminars, and research collaborations.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Support accreditation activities and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
• Prepare course reports, annual program reports, and other required academic documentation.
• Participate in health promotion campaigns, community outreach programs, and public health initiatives.
• Collaborate with healthcare organizations to strengthen community-based medical education.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position are typically expected to have 2-5 years of relevant experience. Specific requirements include:

• Professional classification and licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) or eligibility for registration.
• Clinical experience in Family Medicine and Primary Healthcare is required.
• Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
• Experience in research, academic activities, and curriculum development is considered an advantage.
