About the Finance Manager Role
Calvin James Recruitment is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations in Makkah, specifically within Jeddah and Makkah cities. This full-time position reports to the General Manager and requires 5-10 years of experience. The role is responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and full compliance with Saudi regulations, while also leading a small accounting team and supporting senior leadership.
Core Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will lead the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including managing month-end and year-end close processes. Key duties involve producing timely and accurate management accounts and financial reports, overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring general ledger integrity. The role also encompasses managing cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities, as well as monitoring receivables, collections, and payment approvals.
Furthermore, the position is responsible for ensuring compliance with VAT, ZATCA, and all statutory reporting requirements. This includes preparing financial information for auditors and regulatory authorities. The Finance Manager will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, while maintaining strong internal controls and governance processes.
Team Leadership and Business Partnership
A significant aspect of this role involves leading, coaching, and developing the finance team. The Finance Manager will partner with business leaders to provide commercial financial insight and support ad-hoc finance and operational projects, contributing to informed business decision-making.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA, CIMA is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Saudi accounting regulations, VAT, and ZATCA requirements.
- Experience across financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and working capital management.
- Previous experience managing audits and statutory reporting.
- Experience working within an international or multinational organization.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Advanced Excel skills.
- ERP experience, with SAP being preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities covering operations in Jeddah and Makkah.
