About the General Manager Role

Marriott International is seeking a General Manager to lead the Marriott Jeddah Madinah Road property. This full-time position requires a dynamic and results-driven leader with strong operational expertise and a comprehensive understanding of the Middle Eastern hospitality market. The General Manager will be accountable for the overall performance of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction, achieving financial targets, and upholding brand standards while fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Marriott's core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership across all hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Finance.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and team engagement.
  • Act as the primary ambassador of the Marriott brand within the local market and ensure alignment with Marriott International standards.
  • Oversee all departments to ensure exceptional guest service delivery and consistently high guest satisfaction scores.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Develop and execute annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans to drive revenue growth, GOP improvement, and cost management.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor performance to maximize profitability.
  • Lead commercial strategy in partnership with Sales & Marketing teams, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify new revenue streams and market opportunities.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team, promoting talent development and Marriott culture.
  • Ensure employee engagement and a positive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager in a branded hotel environment.
  • Mandatory experience in the Middle East with a strong understanding of regional market dynamics.
  • Proven track record in delivering financial results and operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with Marriott systems and brand standards is highly preferred.
