About the Role

Folk Maritime is seeking an experienced Senior Executive HR Officer to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role primarily focuses on managing day-to-day HR operations and providing comprehensive support to employees throughout their career lifecycle. The position requires a strong understanding of HR principles and practices within the Saudi Arabian context, with minimal involvement in government relations and facilities management.

As a Senior Executive HR Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations, from onboarding new employees to managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. This is a full-time position offering a dynamic and challenging environment for a dedicated HR professional.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage the employee lifecycle from start to finish, including onboarding, offboarding, and processing contract changes.
  • Support recruitment activities and coordinate the hiring process to ensure timely and effective talent acquisition.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and effectively manage HR systems.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with the Saudi Labor Law and HR best practices.
  • Respond to employee inquiries promptly and provide expert HR advisory support to foster a positive work environment.
  • Support the implementation of performance management processes and engagement initiatives to drive employee development and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs and assist in managing employee benefits.
  • Liaise with government relations and facilities teams on essential requirements as needed, within a limited scope.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR in general.
  • Strong and demonstrable understanding of the Saudi Labor Law and current HR practices in the Kingdom.
  • Proven experience in managing employee relations and overseeing core HR processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, enabling effective interaction with various stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to work, coupled with strong organizational skills and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
