We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to ensure reliable operations in our manufacturing processes at CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd in Jeddah, Makkah. This role is vital for maintaining our can production lines and requires a strong background in mechanical systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute preventive maintenance on industrial machinery including presses, conveyors, and can-making equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
• Perform corrective maintenance by repairing or replacing components like bearings, gears, and pumps.
• Conduct equipment inspections and assist in the installation of machinery.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and adhere to safety regulations.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to enhance equipment performance.
• Propose continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and flexibility to work shifts as needed.

Position Title: Mechanical Technician

Job Purpose: To carry out maintenance, modification, overhauling, and installation activities on mechanical machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures, industry best practices, HSE guidelines, and quality standards to attain cost-effectiveness, functionality, and reliability.

Key Accountabilities:

• Inventory: Check the necessary stock levels of consumables to enable effective inventory control and timely re-ordering.
• Documentation: Update the maintenance logbook, detailing work carried out, daily progress, and conditions of all machines for timely information availability.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to identifying and implementing change initiatives in line with organizational standards.
• Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures: Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to ensure work is completed to the required standard.
• Health, Safety, Security & Environment: Follow health, safety, security, and environmental procedures to guarantee employee safety and environmental compliance.
• Related Assignments: Perform any additional duties as required by the outage manager.

Communication & Working Relationships:
Internal: Work closely with Mechanical Supervisor, Engineers, and Supervisors within Outage teams.
External: Collaborate with subcontracted labor, helpers, or OEM representatives.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

• Minimum Qualifications: Degree or associate degree in a Technical Field, Gas Turbine Systems Technician preferred.
• Minimum Experience: At least two years’ experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment.
• Skills: Strategic mindset, excellent communication, project management principles, analytical skills, relationship-building, understanding of technology and operations.
