About the Role

Manning Global is seeking an experienced Turf Manager to oversee the development and ongoing maintenance of sports pitches for a premier stadium project. This contract position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and requires an expert capable of maintaining elite-level playing surfaces under demanding environmental conditions.

Role Context

The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the stadium's playing surfaces consistently meet the strict standards required for international football. The Turf Manager will be responsible for implementing advanced turf management practices tailored to the Middle Eastern climate, ensuring optimal pitch health and playability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily care, maintenance, and preparation of the stadium's Paspalum turf.
• Implement specialized irrigation, fertilization, and disease-control programs adapted for the Middle Eastern climate.
• Prepare and execute comprehensive pitch management plans for both match days and training sessions.
• Lead and train a local team of ground staff to ensure consistent pitch quality and operational excellence.
• Operate and maintain specialized turf equipment, including grow lights, to support turf health.
• Monitor pitch health through data-driven testing, evaluating parameters such as hardness, moisture, and traction.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of professional experience in turf management, with a proven track record in maintaining high-standard sports pitches, particularly in challenging climatic environments.

Employment Details

This is a contract role. The compensation for this position ranges from 4,500 to 6,000 USD per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Location

The Turf Manager will be based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, focusing on the stadium facilities within this region. The role requires on-site presence to directly manage and oversee all aspects of pitch maintenance and development.
