About the Role

United Group is seeking an experienced Clearance & Customs Manager to lead and manage customs clearance activities for both import and export operations. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on ensuring compliance and efficiency in all customs-related processes.

Role Overview

The Clearance & Customs Manager will be responsible for overseeing customs clearance, managing duty exemptions, processing customs duty refunds, and handling government/industrial subsidy programs. The role requires a professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience in customs and import/export operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee import customs clearance activities for various shipments, including spare parts, equipment, and raw materials, with a focus on invoice review and HS Code classification.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, Saudi Customs, SFDA, and other government authorities to ensure timely and compliant shipment clearance.
  • Monitor inbound shipments and follow up on customs clearance processes to ensure timely delivery to the warehouse.
  • Review and validate customs clearance documents and invoices prior to submission to the Finance Department.
  • Manage customs duty exemption applications, including data and documentation preparation, submission, and follow-up with relevant authorities until approval.
  • Handle and follow up on government and industrial subsidy/support programs, which involves preparing documentation and coordinating with banks, government entities, and legal advisors.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with customs regulations, trade policies, and internal procedures.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs departments to ensure seamless and compliant supply chain operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in customs clearance and import/export operations.
  • Proven experience working with Saudi Customs, SFDA, customs brokers, and other relevant government authorities.
  • Experience in preparing, submitting, and following up on customs exemption, duty refund, and subsidy applications.
