About the Opportunity

Alexander Steele Recruitment is supporting a leading international food manufacturing business in the appointment of a Country Head of Quality for its Saudi Arabian operations. This is a senior country-level, full-time role based in Jeddah, with responsibility across all Saudi operations and requiring regular domestic travel.

Role Overview

The Country Head of Quality will be responsible for leading the comprehensive Quality and Food Safety agenda across multiple manufacturing sites. The primary objective is to ensure the consistent delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality products throughout the business's operations in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Food Safety Management System across multiple factory locations.
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, SFDA, and GCC regulatory requirements.
  • Drive audit readiness and lead both internal and external audits.
  • Manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) closure, conduct root cause analysis, and oversee continuous improvement activities.
  • Standardise quality systems, governance routines, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and procedures across all sites.
  • Oversee product quality, compliance, product release processes, and incident management.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, certification bodies, and external auditors.
  • Build and foster a strong quality and food safety culture among factory teams.
  • Coach, develop, and lead the Quality & Food Safety team.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following:

  • Strong Quality & Food Safety leadership experience within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience operating across site, multi-site, or country-level manufacturing environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), HACCP, FSSC 22000, and ISO 22000.
  • Experience with SFDA and GCC regulatory requirements.
  • Extensive experience in audit management, compliance, supplier quality, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibility extending across all Saudi operations, including the Makkah region. Regular domestic travel will be required to various sites within the country.
