About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Director of Finance to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for serving as the property's strategic financial business leader, driving financial performance and supporting brand initiatives. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Strategic Financial Leadership

This position acts as the property's strategic financial business leader, championing and implementing property-wide strategies to meet or exceed customer and employee expectations. The role provides financial expertise to ensure the successful execution of brand service strategies and initiatives, while maximizing return on investment. A key responsibility is creating and executing a business plan aligned with the property and brand's strategic direction, focusing on financial activities and achieving desirable financial results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to improve profit, including cost-benefit analysis and exploration of new business opportunities.
• Analyze financial information, forecast sales against expenses, and create annual budget plans.
• Monitor actual sales against projected sales and analyze variances.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and productivity improvements for property managers.
• Implement and maintain appropriate controls to manage business risks and safeguard assets.
• Lead the development and implementation of the annual business plan, ensuring alignment with company and brand strategies.
• Provide ongoing analytical support by monitoring operating department sales and producing accurate forecasts.
• Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
• Manage communication with owners, understanding their priorities and strategic focus.
• Manage property working capital and cash flow in accordance with brand standards and owner requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation of profits and losses, and monitor tax compliance.
• Ensure the accuracy of the Profit and Loss statement and compliance with management contracts and reporting requirements.
• Ensure team members are cross-trained, and property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
• Create development plans for team members and participate in hiring activities as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

• A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major, with 3 years of experience in finance and accounting or a related professional area.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major, with 1 year of experience in finance and accounting or a related professional area.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

Leadership and Stakeholder Management

The role requires strong leadership and communication skills to influence the executive team, shape property strategies, and lead the finance team effectively. This includes advocating for sound financial and business decision-making, demonstrating integrity, and leading by example. The Director of Finance will communicate strategic goals clearly to subordinates and provide excellent leadership by assigning clear accountability with appropriate authority. Advising the General Manager and executive committee on operating and financial issues, and communicating financial concepts persuasively are also key aspects of this position.

Work Location and Type

This full-time position is based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. The work environment is within The Luxury Collection brand.
